Engineering students at Rice University have created a new iPhone app they say could help patients with Parkinson's manage a symptom of the disease called "freezing," a temporary and involuntary inability to move when the legs are unable to follow the brain's command.

SportSetter, which offers an app that helps people find workout classes in their city, has raised $1 million in a round of funding led by Reaktor Fund.

PillPack, the mail-order pharmacy that raised $50 million last June, has finally gone mobile, launching its first app, for iOS and Apple Watch.
