The companies announced the sleep technology platform at HLTH 2022 on Sunday.

San Diego-based medical device company ResMed has announced the acquisition of mementor, a consumer software developer that offers a digital solution for insomnia.

The all-cash deal is expected to close by the end of the year, subject to regulatory clearance.

ResMed is launching the AirSense 11 in the U.S. first, with additional locations to follow.   

Formed under the banners of the Consumer Technology Association and the Connected Health Initiative, the coalition's membership includes big names like Google, Boston Children's Hospital, Microsoft, ResMed and others.

The co-packaged product, which will be launched in Europe this year, combines Propeller's sensor tech and Novartis' new medication.

Users will be able to make refill requests, locate pharmacies, and even chat with a pharmacist without leaving Propeller's app.

ResMed is expected to close the $225M deal to purchase the smart inhaler company by March 2019. 

The acquisition is expected to help ResMed expand its SaaS offerings in the long-term care setting.
