WWDC
Once again the developer spotlighted a number of new health features for the iPhone and Apple Watch.
New workout modules and automatic handwashing detection were rolled out at Apple's annual developer conference, but no update was offered on contact-tracing efforts.
In addition to a Health Records API and various fitness updates to the Apple Watch, Apple made one more health announcement last week at WWDC: a slew of upgrades to ResearchKit including hearing, vision, and speech tests; an updated UI; and a new research API for monitoring Parkinson's tremors and dyskinesia.
Compared to past World Wide Developer Conferences, Apple's latest presentation was light on health-related content.
The Apple Watch had its first software update this week, and it did include some minor updates to the health tracking features.
