Continua Health Alliance officials say the company is creating an interoperable source code software library for mobile platforms.The international organization of healthcare and technology companies has chosen Vignet, a Virginia-based provider of "person-centric" connected health platform and solutions, to develop this mobile Continua Enabling Source Library (mCESL), which will be made available to Continua Health Alliance members.

Intuit Inc., the Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of financial management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, will acquire Medfusion, of Cary, N.C., which makes front-office and back-office software designed to improve patient-to-provider communications. The deal is valued at about $91 million.
