The ingredients of Finland's growing startup ecosystem include public-private partnerships, data research availability and a little bit of sisu. 

Founded in 2012, the startup currently has more than 2,000 clients and is active across 14 countries.

Brookfield Growth Partners led the round, with participation from DCVC, Builders VC, Bullpen Capital, Javelin Venture Partners and Two Sigma Ventures. 

Backed by Karma Ventures, Dreamit Ventures, Inovo Venture Partners and Müller Medien​, the Polish-born company plans to expand its US team. 

Taiwan-based health tech startup iWEECARE announced that it has raised $1M in Pre-Series A funding, led by Singapore-based Verge HealthTech Fund, alongside Taiwan/US-based Translink Capital and Darwin Venture.

This includes a grant from the Innovate UK agency and investment from 24 Haymarket.

M Ventures led the round with participation from Grey Sky Venture Partners, VI Partners AGG, Alpana Ventures and FYRFLY Ventures. 

The Singaporean company will be moving its headquarters to Boston. 

Theranica, an Israel-based biomedical technology company focused on developing advanced electroceuticals for migraine and other prevalent diseases, announced that Omron Ventures has joined its $35M series B funding round, which was announced earlier this March.

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus merged the two companies, promising to support existing clients.
