The digital therapeutic is designed to treat children ages 8 to 12 with ADHD, but the two studies announced this week will focus on an adult population.   

Using a phone’s camera and flash, the MFine Pulse detects light absorption in a user’s fingertip which is then processed via a proprietary algorithm to measure SpO2.

Starting this month, eligible Fitbit Sense users can participate in the study, which will look into how pulse arrival time can be used to measure blood pressure.   

Funding will be used to gain in-human data for startup’s OxiFlow brain haemorrhage solution. 

The deal is expected to close this summer, subject to stockholder approval, and will raise $113 million for the combined company.
