Dexcom G6

Dexcom CEO Kevin Sayer has seen the company through some boom years, including growth that has outpaced the company's manufacturing capabilities. But they've learned lessons and are pressing on with a new, smaller sensor in 2021.

Dexcom G6 users will now be able to integrate their continuous glucose monitor to the Livongo platform for more personalized insights and coaching. 

Dexcom announced a slew of announcements this morning including an integration with Google Fit, a feature that lets users share their readings with 10 people and a technical inquiries feature. 

The CGM giant also redrafted its agreement with Verily, whose tech will now be incorporated into their core product line.

While the company's successful G6 launch was its focus, Dexcom had a busy third quarter for other news as well.

Shortly after launching its integrated continuous glucose monitoring system, Dexcom announced a 42 percent increase in year-over-year sales during its Q2 earnings call.

Dexcom started out the year strong following the FDA clearance of its integrated continuous glucose monitor the G6.

Yesterday Dexcom got the nod from the FDA to market their Dexcom G6, an integrated continuous glucose monitoring system (iCGM), making it the first interoperable CGM to get the designation.
