Both CGM competitors announced integrations with Insulet yesterday during the Advanced Technologies & Treatment for Diabetes Congress in Madrid.

Dexcom CEO Kevin Sayer has seen the company through some boom years, including growth that has outpaced the company's manufacturing capabilities. But they've learned lessons and are pressing on with a new, smaller sensor in 2021.

Dexcom announced a slew of announcements this morning including an integration with Google Fit, a feature that lets users share their readings with 10 people and a technical inquiries feature. 

The CGM giant also redrafted its agreement with Verily, whose tech will now be incorporated into their core product line.

Dexcom is the third company to partner with the wearable-based research company, after Fitbit and Garmin.

This morning Glooko also announced that its diasend platform will be compatible with the Dexcom G6. 

While the company's successful G6 launch was its focus, Dexcom had a busy third quarter for other news as well.

Shortly after launching its integrated continuous glucose monitoring system, Dexcom announced a 42 percent increase in year-over-year sales during its Q2 earnings call.
