The alliance streamlines verification of patient-driven record demands to Selfii's patient data network.  

Contact tracing apps, symptom checkers and other data-driven tools provide tangible benefits, but experts say that more can be done to educate individuals on what information they collect and how it's handled.

The company has raised a lifetime total of $50 million.

The organization is accepting public comment on these guidelines for the next 45 days, and will release a final version in February at HIMSS 2019.

In a statement, Dr. Scott Gottlieb detailed his agency’s ongoing cybersecurity efforts, which include the signing of two “significant memoranda of understanding” and discussions to facilitate collaboration across government agencies.
