The collection by Getlabs will cost users a convenience fee starting at $25.

Labcorp OnDemand allows patients to choose tests online without a doctor's visit. Depending on the test, they can either collect samples at home or make an appointment at a Labcorp location.

Also, South Korean startup Lunit obtains two new US FDA approvals for its AI diagnostic tools.

Labcorp did not disclose the terms of the deal, but said this acquisition will be another step into the growing femtech market.  

It works to more easily connect patients to trials, decrease administrative tasks, improve trial resiliency and enhance studies through the use of data and technology.

The FDA now allows LabCorp's platform to test patients with no COVID-19 symptoms, or to run samples from up to five patients at a time.

The company's drug development CRO, Covance, will integrate Medable's software to expand its decentralized trial capabilities.

Using a designated kit ordered by a doctor, patients will be able to self-swab and mail their samples to LabCorp testing facilities. The self-collection kits will be available in "most states" in the coming weeks.
